I think lack of daily renewal of our relationship with God, poor nutrition, misalignment, dependence on medication,... all contribute to the state of depression that so many people are in. I just hate to see so many people quickly turn to medication to fix what ails them when God is right there waiting, you know? Medication is so easily accepted when alcohol and illegal drugs are not. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning getting drunk or taking illegal drugs, but I think that they get the same result as some legal drugs, you know? What makes one right and one wrong?
I feel like some people feel a lack of fulfillment and joy because their relationship with Jesus is lacking. I also think that when we go out of our way to do kind and generous things for others, we get fulfillment from that.
Anyway, I just want people to think before running to depression drugs that could potentially cause more problems than they can help.
Thanks, MorningSong, for pointing out the nutrition. You are so right!!! :)annieckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07303230705273162561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473820997385712460.post-37365227611766361692007-11-08T10:49:00.000-06:002007-11-08T10:49:00.000-06:00Such a tough topic. Our diets are so full of processed foods now. Makes you think!MorningSonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03684434664454521051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1473820997385712460.post-36607153798235568792007-11-07T22:34:00.000-06:002007-11-07T22:34:00.000-06:00Great post, Annie. I get that way every time I get lazy/busy/whatever. It's so about daily renewal!! :)devhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09127753550848918820noreply@blogger.com
