Please Help

Ok, this if for all you computer buffs out there. When it comes to html stuff, I'm CLUELESS. I really want to completely change my blog background so I can include my sweet little girl, get rid of the craziness going on, and just to see something new. Thing is, I want to know how to do it without erasing my blog lists (it takes WAY too long to save them in word and to re-upload them. I did that last time. ugh).
What do I do?!? I need MAJOR help! Please????

I'm not smart when it comes to this stuff either. I used the Cutest Blog on the Block. It was free and she gave step by step instructions on how to change it. It may be worth looking at. It didn't erase anything either, just changed my background. I can't wait to see some pictures!

Holly had the same thing happen to her blog. She e-mailed Hilary who designed hers, too, and she told her how to fix it. Maybe Holly can just forward that e-mail to you?

I wish I knew how to help, but I let somebody do mine because it is not my forte.

The way I kept my list was made a WHOLE NEW PAGE and use my old page just for links. It was easy. And cheater-ish, but I didn't want to re-plug them in, either!

The cutest blog on the block, and also shabbyblog.com both do their backgrounds so that you add it as a gadget, so it doesn't change your ACTUAL blog, it just like, puts wallpaper on it. So you don't lose any links or pics or ANYTHING at all. And they both have a lot of matching headers that you could redo on top.

That would be great! If I add it as a gadget, will it undo my current blog background? How does that work? I have one background (that is obviously messed up) saved (not as a gadget). This is where I get confused. I want it to go away!

I just added the gadget from shabbyblog.com and it took over all by itself. I don't know what happened to the old one. I don't really understand computers too much. I don't know if it will 'go away' but it won't show up when you look at your blog. The shabbyblog has cuter backgrounds, but thecutestblogontheblock.com has really good step by step instructions for EVERYTHING.
