Taking Baby Steps

You may have noticed that the hideous mess of red x's and clovers has finally disappeared from my background. Yes, and you're welcome. Thanks to Jennifer, I have a super cute new background from shabbyblogs.com (LOVE it!). Thanks, Jennifer! Problem now is, I can't do my header. AGH! I picked out a cute header on the site, but apparently I have to have photoshop or picasa to do it. UGH! Ok, people, I am working with a prehistoric computer here. And when I say prehistoric, I mean first dinosaur to touch the earth. I need help! PLEASE???
Not only do I not have Picasa or Photoshop to add my own picture, I have no idea how to install their headers. ANY and all help would be appreciated! Thanks, loyal bloggers!
In the meantime, I'll try to enjoy my new background and pretend my old header doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. :)

This is probably more than you're going to want to go through...but check out scrapblog.com. I don't really know how it works, but I've done it a lot. You sign up, and then start making one. One what? I don't know. But after you pick your theme and add your pics and text, you 'publish' it, then you can save it as a jpeg. THEN you can go to your blog layout, and use that jpeg as a header. That's what I always used to do, because you can TOTALLY customize it. Some of stuff on scrapblog costs money, but most of it's free. You can search specifically for free stuff. Otherwise, without Picassa, I don't know what to tell you about the shabbyblog headers. Hope that helps...

By the way, as long as I'm some random stalker in your life, let me tell you that I used to be a labor and delivery nurse and your latest delivery is MY WORST NIGHTMARE!!! Every night at work, I would convince myself that some girl was going to deliver in an elevator or something, and all the other nurses said 'oh, that'll never happen.' Uh, apparently they were WAY wrong. You amaze me.

Sorry about your header-I have zero advice-I am not the best w/technology! but I love the new background. Rhiannon is getting so big and I know you're all loving having a little girl around the house. How is Tristan liking kindergarten? hope all is well. have a great weekend!!!

I wish I could help! I leave it to the pros! It's getting much better, though without that crazy Christmas-y hackage. Yep. That's a word.

I think Picasa is free if you have a gmail account which is free also. You can download picasa through that and the program will help you sort and organize your photos on your computer then upload them into the same "albums" (folders) on to the web to share. I'll send you a gmail invite so you can go that route if you like.

Hope all is well. Your children are precious!!!

Jennifer, thank you SO much for all your help! You have helped me totally transform my blog. I am SO much happier with it, thanks to you! I knew nothing of scrapblog. Now I'll probably be addicted!
Ha! I love to hear L&D nurses' perspectives on my birth. It was so crazy!
I'll have to go check out your blog and become a stalker of yours. :):):)
Hey, Amy! Tristan is liking K a lot! Thank you! We're doing great, just still trying to adjust to three different schedules. :)
How are y'all???
Hil, love "hackage".
Thanks, Rachael!!!
