Asher's First Pair of Shoes

Today was a big day for Asher. He got his very first pair of shoes (ok, if we're being technical, he actually got two pairs, but he's only worn one pair thus far). I went to The Pant Store (which, if you live in my area, has TONS of super cute stuff. Check it out if you live around here) intending to get him some navy crocs (they had them on sale for $24 which is great considering they're usually around $32). However, when I got there, I found that they didn't have any crocs in his size except bright pink (no thank you). I was disappointed until I saw the Polliwalks. I thought they were pretty cute, especially on his tiny feet. Now for me, I'm usually anti anything character (you know what I mean, right? The Super Man shirts, Spider Man shoes, etc. It's not bad, it's just not my thing. I try to limit those things to pjs that only the family will see). But there was just something about these little shoes on Ash's feet. They were really cute. I wanted navy, but they were out of his size, and I had to go with red. Still cute, though. He isn't quite sure what to think about them.

If you're wondering about his second pair of shoes, he got some really cute brown sandles. He seems to walk more easily in those. He wants to pull on his Polliwalks.

As for walking, he's not quite there yet, but he's getting closer. Now that he's got shoes, it will be much easier to put him down when we're out and about. We will no longer be breaking the "No shirt, No shoes, No Service" rules.

And for those interested in the Polliwalks, they are just as cushy and soft as the Crocs. I know most knock-off brands are pretty uncomfortable, not so with these. They feel just like Crocs. Gotta love the comfort factor!

So cute! I'm the same about the character thing. The boys love them so I let them weare those type shirts around the house.

I love the Polliwalk shoes! I want to get the green gator one's for Eli. But then I will have to buy him some clothes to match! And...you know how I hate that! ha!

I bet Asher looks precious in his new shoes! I cant wait to see him next week!

I like the gator ones too! I might have to get those too because he needs another color...;)

These are too cute! AB has a couple pairs of shoes-but we have had NO luck actually keeping them on her feet-guess that might get easier when she starts walking!

So cute! I don't really care for the character thing either, however, I can't deny Josiah wearing Batman and Superman when his grandparents get it for him. He seriously thinks he becomes these superheroes when he wears the clothes. So funny! Asher is such a sweet boy!

Ooh! I can't wait to find the Polliwalks (sp?). Those look adorable.

And my general rule about logos on clothes, etc, is that we don't advertise for anybody- Dora, Thomas, etc. So, I'm right there with ya'. I don't know what I'm going to do when Owen gets an opinion about his clothes!
