Thursday's Random Thoughts

Happy Thursday to you! I'm back for another weekly installment of my random thoughts...just strange and random things that have popped into my head this week. Some are more profound than others. :) So here goes:Has anyone seen the Riddex Plus infomercial? I see it from time to time and am so intrigued. I just can't understand how it could possibly work. So these impulses keep bugs and mice away? Seriously? It's just that simple? For some reason, I'm really skeptical about it. I would love to have it if it works, I just don't trust it to work.

BIG football weekend starting tonight...HUGE! Tonight the Auburn Tigers take on West Virginia. So many questions there. I can't wait to watch! Saturday holds two, sure to be exciting, games...Georgia vs. LSU and Bama vs. the Tennessee Volunteers. Both of those games have me nervous, excited and wondering what we're in for. I think all three games will be close. I'm just hoping WV, Georgia, and Bama can all come away with wins. I mean, if Alabama loses to Tennessee...this year when they're HORRIBLE, that would be...well...embarrassing. And UGA, everyone has pretty much forgotten about them...counted them out. I'm hoping they can come away with a win and a renewed confidence this weekend. I want to see LSU go DOWN!!! ROLL TIDE!!! GO DAWGS!!!

Do you think Arnold Schwartzeneggar and Maria Shriver get along well? Their political stances are SO incredibly different, and with Arnold being the Republican governor of California, I just wonder how they manage to get along. Maria is such a staunch and outspoken democrat. I mean, that sounds much more difficult than having one spouse that's a Georgia fan and one that pulls for Alabama. Hmmmm...

As the election comes more and more near, I am anxious about the results. I am nervous about the possibility that socialism will become the basis of economy and health, that abortion will become as common as brushing teeth, that small businesses may have more and more difficulties. I pray that God will have mercy on our country.

All candy corn is not created equal. I've tried many different kinds, and they don't all measure up. Brachs rocks!

Today has been the most glorious day as far as weather goes. It is absolutely perfect outside! It's kind of overcast and slightly cool, but not too cold. I wish I could stay outside all day!

If you're around someone you don't know very well, and his/her zipper is down, do you tell him/her? I wonder because Tristan had a birthday party a couple of years back, and one of the dads there had his zipper unzipped during the whole event. I didn't notice, but a couple of family members pointed it out after the party was over. They thought it was quite funny. No one pointed it out to the poor guy. So would you be more embarrassed if someone (a potential stranger) pointed out your downed zipper or if no one said anything, and you discovered it once you got home?

Socks with flip flops...what in the world?! Whenever I see people wearing socks with their flip flops, I just wonder...why? Not only does it look funny (ok really strange), but it seems SO uncomfortable. The whole point of flip flops is comfort and ease. Socks and flip flops seems neither comfortable nor easy. But hey, that's just me.

Any random thoughts to share? If so, don't be shy! Leave them in my comments section, or better yet, make your own list and link us back. Happy Thursday!

Annie!! You should take this show on the road!! I LOVE reading your random thoughts...I'm so glad I'm not the only one with random thoughts! I really loved the "zipper down" thought. I think it's a lose/lose situation. It's just plain embarassing to have your zipper down no matter when or how you find out! funny about the flip flops with socks!! Today we were on our way out the door (and in a time crunch of course!) It was really cold, so I had the kids bundled up and socks and shoes on Gabe. Well, the shoes I had on him really didn't fit. The velcro kept coming undone...that's how ill fitting they were. So, I knew they would bother him and me the whole day. So...I did it...I put him in his stride rite "sandals". They have a closed toe, but the sides are kinda open and you could definitely see sock action!! I KNOW!! I can't believe I did that to my poor son! Oh well, at least they weren't flip flops!! ;)

I don't think I could tell someone their zipper was down. Well, if it was a girl, I could. But not a guy. I would try to get Lawson to do it. I did tell a girl at Barnes and Noble that her thing undies were showing though. I guess it depends.:)
