Our Weekend in Athens~Part 1

Last weekend was our first weekend of the year to head to Athens, Georgia for a football game. This year, Channing was pumped about watching the Dawgs take on the LSU Tigers. We had the weekend planned for months in advance, and we were all excited, as you can see in the above picture. I took that picture with my phone on the drive over. Tristan was eagerly anticipating playing football on the practice field, one of his absolute favorite things to do in Athens.
Here he is on the practice field, gear on, football and tee ready. He had a great time! Though this year was a little different than years past. Instead of playing non-stop football with his daddy and PaPa, he was a little more focused on following a couple of girls that were out there. And so it begins...
Here is Asher, suiting up. His favorite thing to do on the practice field was to run all over the "G" on the field. He thought it was really cool.A family shot. I am so blessed!
The boys with MiMi and PaPa.
The boys and their daddy, or Daddy and his little clones! I love these three guys!!! Seriously, God has truly blessed me.A shot of Rhi pre-practice field. Isn't her onesie precious??? My sweet friend, Leisha, found the pattern and helped design a UGA one for her. Thanks, Leisha!!! Rhi loved her special onesies! After we left the practice field, we had to go out for some classic cuisine...the Varsity, of course! What'll ya have, what'll ya have??? Rhi fit in perfectly!
The next day was, of course, GAME DAY! We spent a fun-filled day of tailgating. This included eating, playing football, watching games, and getting ready for the UGA/LSU game. What a great Saturday! Here are some shots from our tailgate:

This first picture is actually of Rhiannon in her gameday outfit. She was ready! There was no mistaking our little Georgia cheerleader for an LSU fan (or a boy , for that matter). Needless to say, she got LOTS of attention on the walk to our tailgate. :)I know it's a terrible picture (due to all the shadows), but here is a shot of Channing, Rhi, and me on our way to our tent. Sadly, we didn't get to see Hairy Dawg, Uga, or the cheerleaders this time. BUMMER!At the tent:
Look at my mini A.J. Greens! This is like one of about eight or so fruit snacks Asher ate that day. That boy is an eater!!! At home, we don't let him fill up on junk like that! But look at that happy face. :) A shot of MRK, our niece and the kids' cousin, with Rhi and Tristan.
My sweet momma's boy!
Tristan took this one of Channing and me:
My sweet Tristan. I think he's so handsome! I just can't believe how big he's gotten! He's not a baby anymore. He's a big kid. When did that happen?!?
Stay tuned for part 2 of our trip to Athens. I know you're on the edge of your seats! :)
