See that blue blanket? That, my friends, is a priceless masterpiece. That is, of course, if you're asking Asher. This blankie is his lovey, and his lovey is extremely important to him. I don't know what we would do if anything ever happened to Lovey. Asher refuses to sleep without him, and lately, he takes him everywhere.
Tristan, knowing how important Lovey is to Asher, likes to snatch him and run away. This always elicits loud screams from Asher. It's gotten to the point that when I'm out of the room and I hear him scream, I immediately say, "Tristan, give Ash his lovey back." Then I hear Tristan laugh and run away. It happens at least once every other day.
Look at this love! Whenever I showed Asher this picture, he said, "Oh wee..." because that's what we say when he snuggles Lovey. Now it's an automatic response out of him.
This picture is a rare one. He was actually going to share Lovey with me. I couldn't believe it!
"Ok, Mom, if you're not going to take him, I'll just chew him!"
Great thing about Lovey is that he's very forgiving. He has been thrown, gnawed on, thrown up on; he's been dragged and snatched. He's been with Asher through loud nights of screaming in the nursery at church and in his bed. He's been on every trip Asher's been on. Lovey is a loyal friend. I dare say that Lovey is Asher's best friend. Again I say, what would we do without Lovey. I hope we never have to find out.

That is the sweetest!!
what a little cutie...kylee anne has lamby! she is 3 and he still doesn't miss any trips we take or any nights spent in kylee anne's bed.
We have a lamby and a froggy.
Have you read the book "Owen"? Obviously we have several copies that people gave us, but it's about a boy (mouse) and his lovey -it's precious!
Oh, we have THREE hand-knit blankets (by my grandmother) that my kids CAN'T live without!!! Oh, and their grandmother is called 'Lovey'!! We love us some "blankies".....
That's adorable! My three boys all have something different, but they are all very much attached to their loveys too!
When did he become so attached to lovey? When did he start sleeping with it? So adorable?
He started sleeping with Lovey when he was pretty young...like maybe 6 months old or so. He may have even been a little younger, I'm not sure. He really got super attached probably around 11 months, I guess. He pretty much was used for bedtime only until lately. Now he wants to take him everywhere he goes. He is SO attached!
Hey Annie! Asher is a doll! I love his Lovey. I was a blanket baby and now my daughter, Ellie Kate, has a "bink bink" as well. I think it's just precious to see her dragging it behind her in the mornings with her hair all crazy. It's just the sweetest thing!
hey...your kids are adorable of course, but more importantly, tell me what to buy at CVS today. I have $5 in ECBs that expire 2day. thanks!
Hey Holly! You can't let those expire. That would be devastating! ;) It really would. =)
Do you have coupons, or do you just shop based on the ECBs?
